UNSLEEPY, A FURNITURE SERIES MADE OF REPURPOSED COFFEE WASTE
in the 'unsleepy series', chanhyeok kim experiments with texture and form by repurposing coffee waste into a composite dubbed 'coffee dough'. pouring the mixture of coffee grounds and binding agents over a cardboard frame, the korean carpenter creates chairs and stools whose finishing resembles the texture of ceramics or stone, with variations in color and surface cracking depending on the mixing ratio. see more submissions by our readers here, and find out how to upload your own project here.
