(SHE / HER)

Lisa is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker who received her Masters in Social Work degree through Capella University. Lisa believes her calling in this world is to walk with people through some of the darker periods of their lives. Lisa works with clients to help them identify their inner strengths to see that the sun will rise again. Lisa is a dog mom and an incredibly proud auntie to three amazing kiddos! She enjoys spending time outside, binging her favorite shows on Netflix and crocheting.

Specialties

Lisa is trained in Perinatal Mental Health and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Lisa is drawn to working with those that are expanding their families. She knows the toll various experiences can take on an individual and their families in the perinatal period whether it be infertility, pregnancy loss or child health complications.

Areas of Focus

Lisa sees children elementary age through adolescence as well as adults. She uses her past experiences supporting families in a variety of settings to support individuals as they transition into their role as parents.

Treatment Approach

Lisa brings a wealth of experience to the therapy setting including teaching parenting skills, teaching preschool and as a children’s mental health case manager. She uses strengths-based approaches with each client to empower them to see how their unique strengths can support them through life’s challenges. Lisa uses her EMDR training and its theoretical model along with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and trauma-informed strategies to support her clients.
